The questionCanada's official energy scenarios assume electricity supply expands far beyond its recorded pace -- how fast must generation and capacity now grow, how fast did they actually grow, and what does the measured record show since the projections' own history ends?

The supply side has a harder edge: the official national scenarios -- including the most conservative one -- all assume the electricity system sustains a pace above every comparable twelve-year stretch in the record those same scenarios carry.
